Hi. Do you remember me? I am the blogger. I know I keep leaving you high and dry waiting for a post (all 3 of you... lol), but I really have no excuses other than 1) I am pregnant so therefore I am
               2) Tired ALL THE TIME and
               3) It's kind of a busy time of year for me. 

By 'busy', this is what I mean: July 29 is my hubster's bday. Flash forward 10 days and it is my shared birthday with my baby  boy's. So that means lots of family and friends visiting times, bday parties, bday playdates, etc.  And when I'm planning all that shit, I get tired in between, blah blah blah. 

Anyway, enough of my boring, whining, "Im tiiiiiiiiiiiiiired". Let me fill you in on the interesting...

I got around $200 in Sears Gift Cards for my bday too from my awesome friends!!! Why Sears you ask? Well, I used to work at Sears a long time ago, and I'm quite a fan of their shit. LOL. I plan on buying some new draperies, some cool new boots, maybe a camera tripod, and who knows what else! Free shopping, gotta love it no matter where its at! Yay!

I don't know that I would call her an 'amateur' photographer, as her pic taking skillz are amazing. But I guess she would only be considered an amateur because she has no formal training, which is what makes her and her pics so rad in the first place! Another cool thing I have bought lately is a Nail Art Pen set from Nail Jazz. I bought it at Klondike Days/Capital Ex/Dirty Carnie Fest/Whatever you want to call it. It is soooooooooooo much fun! You paint your nails and then use these uber easy-to-use pens to create designs on them! Its almost as addicting as Crackle! P.S. My gf bought me some GOLD crackle for my bday. One word: STELLAR.

Its kind of hard to see, but I painted my nails red and then added dots of yellow and green, and a white and black stripe.

So I was at the Library the other day, and even though I am reading a book right now (A Royal Duty by Paul Burrell), which is good but kind of a slow read, I felt compelled to borrow an easy girlie type fiction book to read. Ummmm, did I ever pick a fucking LOSER of a book! Have you ever heard of "Urban Books"??????? It is a company that publishes 'urban fiction' or 'gangster lit' or 'hip hop fiction' is a genre that is gaining popularity with a new audience. I've heard that it is focused for poor African American teens in ghettos around the US, and it is helping them get more interested in books and helping improve their reading skills.
Ummmmm, this is seriously the biggest piece of shit I have ever read. LOL. Not only is it weird to read in 'black slang', but its so sexually explicit, and the story is sooooooooooooooooooooo bad. It's called "Gunz and Roses". LOL. I know, I know, what did I expect, right?
Anyway, its about a fashion editor named Gray Rose who falls for a major 'thug' and 'gangsta' named Gunz. They make up and break up a Bajillion fucking times in this book, that half way thru the book I just started skimming the pages just to get through. "Half way through the book ", you ask... Yes. It is shit, but I am compelled by my annoyance and hatred for it to continue skimming until I finish it. Car Wreck phenomenon.

WARNING: If you see this book in a Book store or Library, keep walking.

Here is an excerpt from this garbage:
"Yo, what I tell you about pyullin' away from me?" He took her hand. "Stop doing me like that."
"Are you serious? Gunz, please. I haven't heard from your ass in over a week."
"I know that." He pulled her back into his embrace. "Quit trippin' off old shit."
"Old shit?" Gray cocked her neck back.
"I'm just sayin' everything ain't as it seems."
"And what is that supposed to mean?"
"Don't worry about it. You coming home wit' me tonight?"
"No."
"Why not?"He gazed deep into her eyes.
"'Cause." Gray looked away, feeling overwhelmed. (By what? The stimulating conversation????? WTF?!)
"I'm right here." He turned her face back toward him. "Why you lookin' over there? Now, why you ain't coming home wit' me?"
"Cause I'm not fuckin' wit' you like that, that's why."
"Well, guess what? I'm still fuckin' wit' you, so fuck all that bullshit you talkin."
"Gunz, please."
"Gunz, my ass. I'm coming over tonight."
"No, you're not!" Gray laughed, trying to convince herself.
"Yeah, a'ight. C'mon, ma, quit bullshittin'. I miss you."
Everything in Gray at the moment wanted to say kick rocks (Huh?????) because she knew Gunz was full of shit, but the way words dripped like sweet honey from his lips had her hormones entangled.


"Words like sweet honey"???????? Lady, are you fucking serious? What in this paragraph was sweet like honey? What exactly did he say to make her "hormones entangled"?

Seriously, the writing is uber bad, the story even worse, and the sex is so explicit it makes you cringe, talking about the 'cream from her pussy' and shit. Bleh. Even in the Author's Acknowledgments in the beginning where she's thanking God, she says "Lord, my fans and people on the street think that I have it made because of the number of books I have on the shelf, the clothes I wear, and the way I rock my hair...." and she goes on to say how she cried oh so many nights, blah blah blah.
Seriously, I have a major Hate on for this fucking book. If it wasn't from the library, i would run it over with my car, and then throw it in a mud puddle. And then stick it in a garbage can, because I don't litter.
